Description:  Silica sols are dispersions of nanoscale silica particles in water or solvents. As the SiO2 in silica sol contains a large amount of water and hydroxyl groups, the silica sol can also be expressed as mSiO2.nH2O. There are different ways to prepare silica sols. The most commonly used methods are ion exchange, one-step hydrolysis of silica powder, etc.
Application: 1. Used as a binder for various refractory materials, with strong adhesion, high temperature resistance (1500°C-1600°C), and other characteristics.
2. Used in the coating industry, it can make the coating firm, but also can resist dirt and dust, aging, fire prevention and other functions.
3. Used in thin shell precision casting, it can make the shell shape strong and high casting smoothness. 
4. Silica sol has high specific surface area, which can be used for catalyst manufacturing and catalyst carrier.
5. Used in paper industry, can be used as anti-adhesive for cellophane, pretreatment agent for photographic paper, anti-slip agent for cement bags, etc.
6. Used as sizing agent in textile industry, it is used with oil agent to treat the spinnability of wool and rabbit wool, reduce breakage, prevent flying flowers, improve the yield of finished products and increase economic benefits.
