Description: 2-Hydroxyethyl acrylate is an organic compound with the molecular formula C5H8O3. Colorless liquid. Soluble in normal organic solvents and miscible with water. Copolymers can be used as fiber treatment agents, thermosetting coatings, high bond strength adhesives, both heat and oil resistant rubber (such as acrylic copolymer rubber), paper processing agents, lubricant additives,  copolymers with vinyl ether can be used as floor wax substitutes, copolymers with divinylbenzene can be used as ion exchange resins, etc.
Application: It is used to manufacture excellent performance thermosetting coatings, synthetic rubber and used as lubricant additives. In adhesives, it can be copolymerized with vinyl monomer to improve its adhesive strength. In paper processing, it is used to make acrylic emulsion for coating, which can improve its water resistance and strength.
