Introduction:Adenine (formerly vitamin B4) is a purine that has many different functions in biochemistry. In cellular respiration, it takes the form of energy-rich adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and cofactors Chemicalbook nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD). It is also used as a component of DNA and RNA in protein biosynthesis.

Application: Adenine is a component of nucleic acid, involved in the synthesis of RNA and DNA in organisms, when leukocyte deficiency, can promote leukocyte hyperplasia, for the prevention and treatment of leukopenia, but also for acute granulocytopenia.
